306 Quilts is owned and operated by David Church.
I provide computerized edge-to-edge or pantograph quilting services to other quilters. I can also design and create custom digital edge-to-edge patterns for quilting a customer's quilt. Each custom edge-to-edge pattern I design is available for purchase here by other longarm quilters to use with their computerized longarm systems.
306 Quilts is a small home business originally founded in Wisconsin near Madison. Life has many unexpected changes and opportunities, and it was love that drew me away from southern Wisconsin and towards southern Missouri. And so I relocated to Springfield, MO in 2021. Yet, it was another 12 months before my new wife and I found our forever home that could accommodate our family as well as such a large machine! Now that we have, quilting can once again commence!
My Story
Born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin. I have been a quilter for over a decade, first getting into it as a hobby in 2010. I always say - “Quilting has provided a creative outlet for the mathy side of my brain”. I was introduced to quilting by my mother, Dorothy, who as been quilting for decades. She created quilts for each of the six of her children - both in our childhood and again in our adulthood. I believe she had little expectation that any of us would inherit her passion. As the third of her six sons, I have named my quilting business - 306 Quilts - as an homage to my family and to her.
Formerly I have been a member of the Mad City Quilt Guild from 2010 and the Mad Mod Quilt Guild from 2018 until my relocation to Springfield, Missouri.

Personally, I have always been one to perform both the piecing and quilting for my quilts. Below are just a few examples of quilts I have made in recent years. This frequently either meant epic battles with my domestic machine (BabyLock AllurePlus) and a rolled up quilt, or renting time on other quilter's long-arm machine. I finally took the leap in 2018 and invested in my own longarm machine! Thus my quilting journey has brought the opportunity to provide quilting services for others. I only currently provide computerized edge-to-edge pattern services to customers at this time.
